when i first went to nyc i fell in love with it.when you first get here it you feel like your in a place where you can do anything.your lost in the endless lights and noise.people everywhere, allways things happening.
it was on a school trip my first insight in to this city.so it was just a group of great friends drinking and exploring.

my 2nd time here was great as well.met loads of great people, took great photos and made a great zine out of it.i was hooked.this city is where i thought i could spend the rest of my life.

the 3rd time is now completely differnt. i think i did pretty well in my first couple of weeks here.i got part time intern work with one of my fav photographers.again meet loads of intersting people and made some great friends.
but then i started to feel lost.
this city will eat you up and spit you out if you let it and i nearly did.
you can be in the in the middle of the biggest crowed but be completely alone.

my friends mean the world to me. and the city of exeter is one of the greatest places and the people are the best.but its just your allways happy in your comfort zone, and its allways best to try and leave your comfort to get more from life.i got to a point in exeter where i just needed to get out.

i dont really know what im trying to say here.i think i just need to write stuff down other wise il go crazy.and its allways good to look back at at a point in your life and think fuck im glad i didnt pack it all in and leave to go back to the nine to five.

the hardedst part of this trip is being away from my girlfriend for so long.
she inspires me more than nyc ever could.

i am turely greatful that i have had this expreince and that i did it on my own.
im working fucking hard at trying to make photography in to a carear and i think im going to do it.(i hope).

remember no guts no glory.

im driving from baltimore to miami this week with a great photographer called alex.
this trip is going to be so inspiring.
i hope that my best work comes out of this trip across this messed up country.

ive been in new york for just over a week.its goin good.ive meet cool people and got intern work with the my favourite photographer tim baber.
ive relised though that nothing can beat exeter.nyc is close.
haha i think its the fact you can walk out your front door and walk down the street and you see someone you know.
you've allways got a friend to see.
its hard moving to a new city when you only know a hand full of people.and they all work in the day.so even though im in the city that never sleeps i just wanna hang out with my girlfriend and watch a movie or go for a walk with her or go to sleep.
maybe im just home sick.which is lame i know.i should just grab these 3 months and just keep going non stop.
at least shameless is on tv.

i hate moving cribs.im in the middle of moving all my junk to my parents house before i head off on my tour of nyc.

Exeter city doesnt have a great squat scene.the last i heard about squaters in exeter was aload of skagheads that set the place on fire.
But the exeter squat scene is starting to kick off.within the last 2 months two properties that have been empty for over 3 years have been squated by a group of young punk kids that just want a place to sleep and hang out that isnt the street.

the sunset when i left my girls house the other day was amazing.i love summer.

simon is the guy in this photo...we were on the way to a friends to make a ramp to skate on.skating down country lanes was fun.

the schools are shuting down but at least the kids have a place to skate

we went to a school that had recently shut down in exeter city.
its the best place to skate.it had steps, rails, banks and a big smooth playground.
great.its all boreded up and has cctv all over it.
why cant they give a building like this to us to turn in to an amazing art/skte/music venue.it would be great.

Went to Exeter Zinefest on Saturday with my very own zine. Never really been into zines but I thought I'd do one and bring it along for a bit of self-promotion. I was really impressed with some of the stuff they had for sale (even if some of it was REALLY overpriced). One particular artist that I was really impressed with was Clare Owen. I loved the Chanel perfume bottle prints. Well I gave them my zine, not intending it to be sold but I managed to sell 2 for £1 each. I'm pretty surprised anyone even picked mine up to be honest, with some of the others being such good quality. I still have 2 left so if anyone fancies having one, drop me an email.

so its my first day in nyc,got up at 7.30 got a bagel and some juice and sat on the rooftop and watch the sun rise over the upper west side.....today going to be a good day.but i miss jen.

so yesterday in nyc was great,i walked miles and miles.went soho and the lower east side. went to a loft where a friend of my mum lives,who is an artist.it was crazy big and its in the same street that patti smith lives.wow.then went to brooklyn and met ryan mcginley.he took my photo.it was cool.then went to ryans studio where all these cool people are.then meet pete.hes cool.and we went for a beer in this bar.

so i have just woke up in the ghetto of brooklyn.petes house is amazing. it was this big old open factory space and they built room and it has a huge basement.its hard to explain,il take photos of it. dont know what to do today.go to some exhibitions.write post cards. that sounds good.

day 3 in nyc.its raining!!!!wooohooo i feel like im home.yesterday in went to some exhibitions, ate lucky charms and took photos of bikes.lots of walking.today im fucked, i cant get my card to book more nights at the hostel.and buy 11.00 il be on the street, going aghhhhhh where do i go.so when i get that sorted im going to sit in a bar and get wasted.ha! i miss jen even more.x

it's day 4 in nyc.its stoped raining!!!!so yesterday i left my shity hostel and am now staying with my friend josh on the lower east side.he's really cool and lives with a bunch of cool photographers and the flat is massive.soooo good.last night we went and saw "wavves" at this place called the cake shop.amazing gigs records and cakes. then went and had dunkin donuts.good. so its monday....going skating.

today in nyc and skated around got lost in brooklyn.had 2 hot chocolates and 3 chocolate milks. meet dana sat on her roof and took photos.ate pizza watched a cool movie about the lower east side riots and a cool exhibition space.being here has given me so many good ideas for shows in exeter.cant wait to get home.parting tomorow night..

yesterday me and josh went to a park in nyc and took photos of me climbing trees and bridges and running around being stupid.it was fun.then we went to dana's club night called house party and i drunk alot.they did a beer and a shot of tequila for $4.sooo good. dont know what to do today.going to go spend some $ and get jen somthing beautiful.i cant wait to be home though. latzx

day 7 nyc.the sun is shinning.went and skated at brooklyn banks in the sun. i want to come home now. woooohoooo back tomoz.

what if he was one of those evil clowns that made little kids cry and smoked out the back of your house, while you brought out the cake to all the children he made cry.
He also has one of those joke flowers that squirts water, but he has filled it up with tesco's vodka instead.
so i don't really see a problem with it.
But what if they are nice clowns like the one's off that channel four show that followed those men around and one was this amazing clown who was just so cool and seemed like a great person.
